"Australia to Mexico to Atlanta and then here." Jimmy said. "Well, there's your explanation for my awful accent." He laughed.

"No doubt, I bet it takes a lot to stop you."

"I'm an unstoppable force...til I lose my soda"

Shane grinned as he rubbed the back of his head before looking away awkwardly.

"And the uh ya know fake leg does kinda hinder things just a little, ya know?"

"Soda's important, can't be losing that and going on like nothing's happened." Jimmy said, struggling to keep a straight face before breaking into a cheesy grin.

"I can imagine, that must have taken a lot of adapting to get used to."

"Mhmm two years I think, hard for ya to get used to left, stump, left, stump, left, stump" Snow admitted with a bit of a somber grin before shaking his head into a smile "just gotta keep walking though."

"I get you. I don't think I'll ever totally re-adjust to my whole thing. That's probably the case for most of us here. You've got the right attitude though, man, and that's what counts." Jimmy responded fighting to add a smile, trying to make sure things didn't get too heavy.

"Thanks and uh sorry, still getting over it some days" Shane admitted with a chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head, before glancing over with slight curiousity "hey uh if you don't mind me and you could totally push me into the pool if it offends you, what is your uh thing?" He didn't like asking about stuff like that, but sometimes Shane's curiosity got the better of him

"It's fine, I know I've had my days like that too."

"Don't worry, I don't mind. I had a ruptured aneurysm. A blood vessel in my brain swole up and part of it burst. Sustained some brain damage. Wiped out my visual and long-term memory. I can form new memories, but I can't visualise things that aren't directly in my line of sight. I can't draw, I can't recognise faces. Essentially, every time I look at something it's like the first time I'm seeing it."

Shane let out a low whistle at this, the fact that he had all that memorized showed how much he probably had to say this. He glanced around before rubbing the back of his head.

"That's uh rough buddy... well hrm then I'll have to think of some jokes for you to laugh at and recognize me by every time we meet."

He flashed a quick grin with this.

"Don't worry about it, it doesn't really bother me that much. I got off easy, really, considering what those things can do." Jimmy remarked with a shrug that could have been a little too blasé.

Jimmy grinned at Shane's suggestion. "Sounds good to me, dude. Y'know it's funny how much of a sense of a person I get just from seeing what workaround they can come up with to help me recognise them."

"Something like that does sound it'd show someone's colors, I wonder what mine says bout me."

Shane chuckled a bit at his own rhetoric joke, before smiling a bit.

"Least you're at a good place with good people, bet there are some who'd be dicks bout that."

"Nothing bad, if that's what you're wondering. The rest I'll keep to myself." Jimmy said, tapping the side of his nose and grinning. Really, all it meant was that Shane was an entertainer through and through, that he cared about making people happy, that he wasn't full of hot air when he said he was a comedian, unlike plenty of others that Jimmy had heard similar things from. And, after this new development, that Shane cared about what people thought of him. That was Jimmy's assessment, anyway. The accuracy of that assessment couldn't be looked at by him.

"True that. Really, I'm happy here, everything just seems good."

"Haven't you heard that satisfaction brought the curious cat back tho-...wait a sec"
Shane was pouting about the withheld information, he was a curious comedian, but stopped when he noticed an odd movement. Immediately he searched his mind for where he had seen that movement, having to flip through anime games and shows before he came to a conclusion. He punctuated his accusation with a finger pointed at him
"Are you a fan of the Doctor?"

Jimmy hadn't actually realised what he'd been unintentionally referencing until Shane had called him out on it. He wouldn't exactly have labelled himself a fan, but he wasn't exactly a stranger to it either.

"The Doctor? I have no idea what you're talking about. Doctor, who?" Jimmy asked, knowingly.

"...anyone tell you you're a smartass sometimes?"

Shane laughed with a shake of his head. Though he should've seen the response coming a mile away.

Jimmy laughed.

"I've been told that plenty, mate. It's one of my many skills." He grinned.

"Hey man, when you're this good at it, it HAS to be a skill of some sort." Jimmy said with a chuckle.

"Fair enough. Guess I'll have to take that one off my CV, then." Jimmy said, pretending to act disappointed.
